As middle school students, the future is sometimes very difficult to grasp. What is your Dream life? Middle school dreams? High School dreams? College Dreams? Work life dreams? Adult life Dreams? The point here is to never stop dreaming! You CAN make them happen! ms? The point here is to never stop dreaming! You CAN make them happen!
Google defines dream as “a cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal”. To me, a dream is a goal you wish to complete. I have many dreams, especially dreams regarding school. My biggest `dream is to finish school and graduate college, but I have many dreams that regard other topics.
ReplyDeleteIn middle school, I want to accomplishment a lot and set up a good base for high school. In middle school, I wish to stay in both honors classes as well as remain in both creative writing and enrichment gifted and talented programs,. In middle school, I currently have straight A’s. I hope to keep these grades throughout all of middle school. I’ve already gotten into the National Junior Honor Society. I am confident that I can remain in it. I am already in 8 clubs this year. My dream for eighth grade is to join even more clubs. One of my proudest accomplishments is being to play the flute. I plan to take piano lessons and learn the saxophone. If I could successfully learn all three instruments, I would complete one of my goals and dreams.
As for high school, I have many similar dreams. I want to keep up my grades and continue to play instruments. I wish to take mostly honors and AP classes. SInce there are so many more clubs in High school, I would like to increase the number of clubs I am in. In high school, there is a program called Heroes and Cool Kids. High Schoolers go to the middle schools and talk to 6th graders about many different topics. It seems like a great program to be in. Hopefully, all my high school wishes can come true.
As for college, there are many dreams I have. First and foremost, I have always aspired to attend an Ivy League college. My dream is to have a job in the field of chemistry, so if I could attend a college with a well known science program, it would help me accomplish my dream . I also want to double major, so that I have experience that will help me after college. This second major might be a music major, as I see music as a big part of my life that I hope to keep with me. Obviously, I want to graduate with great grades and get a job as a chemist or something similar to that. This is just part of what I want to accomplish in college.
After college. I want to continue learning and practicing music. I would also love to travel and learn of other cultures. On the topic of the world, I would also like to learn more languages. So far, I only know english, most of the Arabic language, and I am currently learning french in school. Hopefully by the time I graduate college, I am able to speak in other languages. I also want to start a family. This is just a fraction of my dreams for my adult life.
As you can see above, I have many dreams and even have a good idea of my dream future life. Hopefully I can fulfill all these dreams and have a great life!
To be honest, I used to be someone who never really had any specific goals or dreams in mind. I would just do whatever and go with the flow, not thinking much about what I wanted my future to be like. Even now, a part of me is still like that. However, my dreams are slowly starting to become more important to me as time flies by.
ReplyDeleteIn middle school, my #1 dream is definitely to remain in an honors class. Just thinking about possibly being one of the people to not get recommended for eighth grade Language Arts honors makes me feel extremely worried, so if I wasn’t recommended, I would most likely have a panic attack. Plus, I would probably have to get removed from G&T since I only have one honors class. Unless I can get recommended for eighth grade honors math class (which would be awesome), I have to work hard in order to increase my chances of staying in a Language Arts honors class.
For eighth grade, I also have a few other dreams. First, I would like to join more clubs. This year, I missed a lot of club opportunities, either because I couldn't hear the announcements or I wasn’t paying attention. I hope I can make more friends, too. Also, I would like to get back into band and music. It’s been a long time since I’ve last had to play my flute, and I was a bit sad to see that band wasn't on my schedule this year. But next year, I’m hope that I’ll be able to start playing my flute and learning more about music again. My final dream for middle school is to get into NJHS. Over the summer, I hope to find the motivation to help the community and become a better person overall.
I am not really sure about what my dreams are for high school. The only dream I have for high school currently is to get good grades and be a great student, since high school can affect your life the most. I hope that my future self in high school is way better than myself in middle school. However, I also hope I can get into an honors society, since there are a bunch of other societies that high school students can be invited into. I definitely want to make good friends that I can trust in high school. After all, everyone says that high school is usually the best years of your life, and I want to spend those good times with people who could be my lifelong best friends.
And for my college dreams, I want to get into a New York University school. I don’t know for sure yet what major I want to choose, but I’m considering journalism. My dad went to NYU and currently works there, and my oldest brother just recently got accepted and will be going there soon, and I want to get accepted as well. It will be hard, but I’ll try my hardest to get accepted into NYU. If I do get accepted, I also want to successfully graduate.
Finally, my adult life dreams. For the most part, I dream of at least having a normal adult life. I can’t wait to be a parent and I hope I’ll be able to get a good job. Most importantly, I dream of being able to take care of my parents after they retire. I know for sure that after they retire, they won’t get paid anymore, so they’ll be depending on my brothers and I. I’d be more than happy to finally be able to pay them back for all that they’ve done for me and my brothers, and I hope that I’ll be able to.
I doubt this is the end of my dream list. I expect that by the end of middle school, I’ll have a lot more dreams and goals, and I can’t wait to see how my future turns out!

ReplyDeleteWalt Disney, an infamous entrepreneur, had once said, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” This quote fits in with the blog topic this month which is about our dreams for the future. Every human being in this world is different - even if you think that some people are exactly the same - so we all have different dreams. Honestly, I don’t know what I want to do in the future. I’m very indecisive and I’m always changing my dream for the future. Currently, I don’t have a clear vision of my future. I do have a few typical goals for the future, though, so I’ll share that information.
ReplyDeleteMy middle school dream is to have straight A’s throughout my 3 middle school years. So far, I have not gotten anything lower than an A- so I think that this goal is not too far off. If I continue to work hard in school, I can complete this goal. My goal for high school is to be the valedictorian in my senior year. It’s a bit of a long shot but, like I said earlier, if I work hard enough, I can make my dream a reality. I also want to meet a lot of new faces in high school. A lot of my friends right now, in middle school, are going to Colonia High School while I will be going to Woodbridge High School. I’m very attached to all my friends at this school and I’m saddened by the fact that they won’t be with me for much longer. When I go to high school, my first mission will be to make new people who share similar interests as me. I also want to be part of many clubs in high school. Being part of a club is also a key factor in making friends. If I join a club, I can meet new people who have at least one interest which is the same as mine - the club that I’m in. Next year, I also want to try to get into the Academy. I’m not very confident I will get in there but since this is all about my dreams, I’ll say my unreasonable dreams too. Most of my dreams about school are realistic because I want to have a normal school life. I don’t have any other dreams for my school life.
Like I said, I don’t have a clear view of my future and I don’t know what to do with a lot of my life. This means that I don’t really know which college I want to go to, much less, what I want to major in. I think I want to do something in the computer or electronics field. I’m pretty tech savvy so I think I’m well-suited for that job. As I grew older, my uncertainty grew about this so now I’m on the fence about this. I thought, “I have a knack for computer-related things but is this what I want to do my WHOLE life? Would this truly make me happy?” Then I started to think about what I like to do in my spare time - play video games. I started to think about jobs related to this and I thought that I could help design and create video games. I would be working in the computer field and I combined it with my love for gaming. There aren’t many companies hiring for game designers in America so it’s an uncommon job. There could be a lot of competition to get jobs for this so I realized that I might not get a job for this. I also thought about being a game tester that gives a review and gives advice to fix the game. Like game designer, this would also be a hard job to get. Getting that job is a fantasy that I wish would not be so much of a fantasy. I also thought about being a detective or a forensic scientist working in New York City. Even though I sort of wanted to do it, I couldn’t look over the fact that I wouldn’t be doing much work with computers. Despite wanting to have all these different jobs, I knew for certain that I would also want to become a part-time author. It was the only thing I was certain about. I love to write and it’s one of my hobbies so one day, I want to publish a book. I don’t care if it gets popular, even though that would be really nice, but I just want at least a few people to read it. I’m don’t want to be a fulltime author because it’s not a steady job, though.
That’s my vague dream of the future. I wish I could be a little more decisive, though, about my job. For now, I’ll just go with the flow and see where I end up!

ReplyDelete“ Laughter is timeless. Imagination has no age. Dreams are forever.” This was a quote said by Walt Disney, an American entrepreneur. This ties in with our blog topic for this month. Everyone has dreams, no matter how old they are. I have many dreams for myself in the upcoming years.
ReplyDeleteIn middle school, my #1 dream is to have my average stay above or on A-. I want to do this for all my 3 years in middle school and all of the 12 marking periods. So far, I have gotten through 7 of the 12 marking periods in middle school so it looks like I can accomplish that if I keep up the hard work I am doing. My second dream is to stay in my honors classes, math and language arts and G&T. My last goal for middle school is to join more clubs. All in all, I want to be prepared for high school by the time I graduate middle school.
My high school goals are a bit harder to accomplish. First of all, I want to get a good score on the ACT/SAT. The score would be important for when I am applying to colleges. My second dream is to take AP classes and try to achieve the AP Scholar or National AP Scholar award. I would also want to achieve the Honors award during my high school years. I also want to achieve at least 50 hours of community service during my high school years. During my high school years, I want to be involved in the community. In high school, my last dream is to be part of many clubs. This would help me look as a student who can manage her time well which would be helpful when I am applying for colleges.
As per college dreams, my number one dream is to attend and get into a top college in USA with a well-known medical program. My second dream is to double major in the medical field. I want to graduate college with great grades and get a good job. I want to become a great pediatrician and help kids.
After college, I will deal with my job and live my life. In my spare time, I would like to do all sorts of cooking. I would try to experiment with a bunch of things and learn all sorts of dishes from all around the world. I would also try and learn more languages. So far, I only know my cultural language, Hindi and English. I am in the process of learning French at school. Also,if I have days
These are all the dreams I have so far for my future. I am sure that they will keep changing and I will keep editing the “ Dreams List” I have in my mind ! I will keep adding more dreams and hopefully, I can fulfil them and live an amazing life with my family, if I decide to have one. If not, I can always live alone or with my parents and maybe my brother !
Awesome ideas!
ReplyDeleteDreaming is a big part of our life. By dreaming, we make goals for ourselves that we wish to achieve. Some may give up on them thinking that their high expectations won’t happen, but you should always try. If you put your 100% effort in making your dream come true, some day it will. My dream life is when I accomplish all my dreams and I am able to prove that no dream is too big for you to achieve.
ReplyDeleteFrom the beginning of middle school, my number one dream was to be in National Junior Honors Society, be in the gifted and talented program, and be in all the honors classes. I have already accomplished this, so my dream is to get all A’s. The reason I want to achieve this is to make my dad proud. If I do this, I can get into the best high schools in Middlesex County. This is a really tough challenge, but I determined to give it all my best.
High school is the point where your life is taking form. Every decision and every grade you get forms your future. High school is when you will be going into college, which creates your life. High school is the time you are studying for the test, college, which reveals your grades. Those grades are your life. I want to do the best I can to get the best education and career. My dream in high school is to be in as many as AP classes I can. I know you may think that my dream is too hard, but I have a way to achieve it. I will start off slow and be in the other advanced classes and reach my way to AP. I also want to take very diverse subjects, so it will look good for me when I apply for college. I have been told several times that volunteering takes a big part in your college applications, so I want to do a lot of volunteering. Being in the advanced classes and taking diverse subjects are really important if you want to get into a good college. My dream for high school is to get good grades, volunteer, and take diverse subjects.
All colleges are amazing, but since the day I learned about Harvard University, I have had my mind set into being able to go there. Harvard University is an Ivy League college and many famous people have attended there. Being able to go there would be the biggest dream come true. My goals for college would be to complete the fields of study that I need for me to become an astrophysicist. I don’t have any other dreams for college as for right now.
As an adult, I dream of working for National Aeronautic and Space Administration. I do not have many dreams for my adult life as I do not know what to expect. My one dream is to live happily and peacefully with my family.
These are the major dreams that I hope to accomplish throughout my life. I’m sure that I will have more dreams in the future. If I do, I would like to accomplish them as well as the dreams I described here. I know that anything is possible and I can make my dreams come true.
